Julian D’Arcy

Julian was a member of the Government’s PRS Taskforce and Housing Guarantees Credit Committee and has over 25 years’ experience within the UK property market.

Following extensive experience in the commercial sector, Julian was a founding member of Knight Frank’s market-leading Residential Development and Investment division in London.

He was responsible for BTR, Build-for-Sale schemes, the creation of an International residential development marketing function, the sale of land for residential and mixed- use development, urban regeneration, assessing project feasibility, providing advice on the appropriate form of development and the marketing of new developments.

He established and grew Knight Frank’s regional Residential Development and Investment business, advising on schemes throughout the regions and Internationally, delivering in excess of 10,000 city centre residential units.

He also established an Asset Management business, acquiring and asset managing over 50 assets located from Aberdeen to Southampton.

He is Chairman of London and City Design Group, a leading specialist provider of interior design services and furnishings to large scale Build to Rent schemes.

Julian was Northern Chairman of Knight Frank LLP.

David Teague

David has over thirty years experience in the construction industry leading successful projects with values in excess of £200M across the United Kingdom.

During this time David has been a director of developers Crosby Lend Lease and Select Property Group and property consultant, Capita Real Estate and Infrastructure.

For the last twenty years, David has specialised in residential and mixed-use urban regeneration development, delivering significant projects across some of the UK’s major regional cities, incorporating build for sale and build to rent apartments, student accommodation, commercial office and retail space.

From his early days as a quantity surveyor, through client side development and project management roles, David has a sharp commercial focus and technical understanding of the key drivers for successful development.


Tracey Hartley – Non-executive Consultant

Tracey is head of residential at the Howard de Walden Estate in Central London.

Tracey is a market leader in UK residential investment management and was previously at Grainger Plc, the UK’s largest listed residential landlord, for 10 years.

At Grainger, she was Director of Residential Operations and prior to this, Fund Manager of the GRIP Fund.  She has been in the real estate industry for over fifteen years, the majority of which has been spent managing UK residential in the PRS sector. 

Tracey has directly managed over £0.5bn value of assets on behalf of institutional investors in addition to fulfilling a number of roles, latterly operational, on Grainger’s £2bn+ portfolio.  She has guided and influenced Government and industry policy and sentiment in the sector, through serving on the government’s PRS Taskforce, chairing the RICS Property Management Working Group and sitting on the RICS Residential Professional Group Board.

She possesses an extremely credible, granular understanding of the sector’s drivers, having property managed, asset managed and fund managed, marrying in-depth knowledge with strategic overview. Tracey also has an appreciation of how this asset class performs in other territories and how the UK market might mature.

She is a Chartered Surveyor and holds an MSc in Real Estate, augmented by an MBA.
